On Earth, explore landscapes full of surprises: sounds, smells, colours, textures… By day, our planet is full of life! But what happens at night, when you go to bed?
“Small Steps on the Moon” is an exhibition designed to engage young children. It offers them a first discovery of the celestial body that marks their everyday lives. In a scientifically accurate setting, children embark on an adventure between Earth and the Moon, between day and night: put on a space suit, play with lunar dust, and climb dunes! “Small Steps on the Moon” awakens the senses, sparks curiosity, and provides new knowledge to young explorers, who, along with their companions, are invited to move, play, touch, observe, feel, be moved, and travel!
Small Steps on the Moon was designed to involve the accompanying adult, integrating them into the experience so they can help develop the child’s understanding while sharing a special moment with the young visitor. The exhibition fosters cognitive, psychomotor, sensory, and socio-emotional development through experiences in an adapted environment.
An activity is available during the exploration journey. Based on the exhibition’s elements, this activity invites young visitors to experience a narrated adventure.
Small Steps on the Moon is intended for all museums and science centres wishing to offer their audience a sensory and dreamlike experience for young children and their families.
The distinctive feature of our exhibitions is the hands-on labs: each exhibition includes a lab where visitors can engage with the theme through demonstrations.
