Observation of the Earth is an essential theme of space activity. Cité de l’espace wants to offer a new look at this subject. It offers an original exhibition which addresses the theme of the Earth through a positive, poetic lens which is accessible to all.
“Spaceship Earth” offers an amazing terrestrial and space journey: Earth seen from space, the conditions for life, interactions between “human activities” and “environment”, the future of planet Earth… Simultaneously scientific, humanist and poetic, “Spaceship Earth” is an exhibition dedicated to the whole family to surprise, marvel and make us wonder.
• To raise visitors’ awareness of how extraordinary the Earth is.
• To show what’s at stake in climate change: it’s the future of today’s living beings, including humans, which is at risk, rather than that of the planet.
• To inform visitors about the interaction between “human activities” and the “environment”.
• To show that the Earth is a moving spaceship and that Earthlings are only tenants of this Spaceship.

The distinctive feature of our exhibitions is the hands-on labs: each exhibition includes a lab where visitors can engage with the theme through demonstrations.
